Projects undertaken by Samithi.

The Ernakulam Kshetra Samithi is a registered voluntary organization and works in cooperation with the Cochin Devaswom Board for the development of the temple, organising festivals and enhancing the amenities for the pilgrims.

The samithi meets the expenditure from public contributions and sponsorships. Apart from conducting the annual festival, the samithi has been instrumental in taking up major projects, connected with the temple.

2.      Gopuram Reconstruction

The decades old western and eastern Gopurams of the Temple are in dilapidated condition due to the usual wear and tear suffered by wooden roof fixtures. The Gopurams need urgent reconstruction. The whole roof structure has to be built exactly as at present with new wood and tiles without loosing its serenity. This shall be highly expensive but unavoidable at all means.

As all are well aware, the Gopurams are vital parts of the Temple complex. It is needless to mention that the reconstruction work of the damaged Gopurams is highly necessary to maintain the Vasthu Chaithanya of the Temple so as to sustain the prosperity of the temple and its devotees. For the successful completion of the works the whole hearted and unstinted participation of devotees is needed. It is desired that after the completion of the Gopuram reconstruction work Ashta Banda Kalasam and other connected rituals also have to be performed as per tradition.

3.      The Oottupura block on the northern side of the temple was renovated by the Samithi into a two storeyed block with a built up area of 14000 Sq. ft.

4.      Renovation of Devaswam office, strong room, residential accomodation and Rest Rooms for Devaswam employees.

5.      Renovation of Balipura.

6.      Construction of fencing around Ernakulathappan ground.

7.      Renovation of Kulappura Maalika.

8.      Laying of granite slabs inside Chuttambalam

9.      Renovation of Vilakkumaadaom and Chuttambalam.
